Also we were filmed by a TV show last summer called BRBR from the TFO network and the video finally surfaced:
And there’s some new videos from the CD release show posted on our youtube page.
Cheers and thanks for the continued support!
So the EP is set to be released on January 23rd. Our new label Chester Records is offering pre-sales right now on their website: http://www.chesterrecords.com/
Shows coming up:
January 23rd Moncton at the Esquire Tavern\
January 29th Fredericton at the Capital
Feb 20th in Sussex

Here’s a new song recorded and fully mastered soon to be released on our Epitaph EP. Check out the opening track Bolshevik here: https://soundcloud.com/dischord-5/dischord-bolshevik
So the recording is done – we got 3 new songs ready to be mastered, the EP will be released in the Fall. We put an un-mastered song up for preview – just click on Music in the sidebar – it’s called Bolshevik and it will be the opening track. We got a few shows this weekend – in Fredericton and Charlottetown. And then we record 2 songs for a national TV show! Cheers
It’s been 10 years this Feb. since the band played it’s first show: I still remember it well, it was at the Manhattan 2nd local birthday bash show. The set was Crystal mountain, Territory, Necrophiliac and Empty Words. It’s hard to imagine my life without DISCHORD now, what a ride! We’re stoked to announce that we’re booked at the Pumpk’n Patch Recording Studio to record our concept EP with Danny Bourgeois in late April! Pumped!
By the way, Nailface is back.
After practicing intensely for 5-6 months with a new lineup, we’re ready to play some shows again. We have streamed down the lineup to 4 as I’ve decided to go back to my old position as lead vocalist to give the band a more concise and direct attack. We are building on the aggressive roots of Siege of Darkness and adding the complexity and variety of Casualties of War to give the band an updated feel in 2013 as we are gearing towards new material.
Pierre Poitras : bass/ backup vocals
Luc Thebeau: drums/nails in the face
Louis Sippley: Guitar/ backup vocals
Luc Gagne: Guitar/ vocals
One of our upcoming shows: Cocagne Metal Bukake!! (it sounds about right) And we got a couple of dates booked in Fredericton too, we’ll announce the details soon!
Let the reign of terror (re)continue!!
We’ve created a youtube account and uploaded 3 videos that consists of the set we played for Black Dahlia Murder/Exhumed and Fuck the Facts when they came in Moncton this year. Check it out:
Well it’s about time! We finally got ourselves an online store, just in time for the holidaze 😉
It’s unfortunate that I have to announce that Dischord will be losing 2 members in September. Gibbs has decided to focus on his working career and on other different aspects of his life than music, and Jim wants to focus on his family life. It’s been a great 3 years and we appreciate the contribution that they brought to the band and we wish them nothing but the best in life. September 15th will be their last show with Dischord, it will be held at the Manhattan in Moncton.
That being said, we are currently trying out a new bass player and things are really going good so far. For drummers, if your interested in auditioning for the band, get to me at Luc@dischord.ca.
